Incomplete, partially bound set of twenty-one plates (At least the title is missing). Very good impressions. Some very rare stains, pinpoint or creases. Small or good margins exept for two plates. A charming and rare set—combining birds, plants, and insects—by a little-known French engraver. Rare, even when incomplete.

Zerner nr 39 (II/III). Very good impression of 2nd state (of 3), trimmed de 4 to 5 mm at right, with Lafreri’s address preceding that of P. de Nobili. Backed; some tears at lower right; some thin paper areas, creases and stains.

Hollstein nr 23. Good impression trimmed at the subject, d’un édition indéterminée but very certainly of XVIth century. Angle supérieur gauche anciennement restauré; small hole restauré près du bord droit; six wormholes; rests of glue and of mounting paper on the back; other smamll defects. Last plate to a set of quatorze illustrant la “Passion”.

Bartsch Ill. XXIX-78. Very good impression of the only state (?). Traces de plis dans les angles supérieurs, a rest of papier de montage collé au verso. Small margins. Watermark : ours or lion dans un écu.

Bartsch Ill. nr 209 (270). Good impression trimmed at the platemark of the only state. Vertical median crease repaired and in part teared (?); important tear repaired at upper left; accidents in the corners; one manquant; small foxings and other small defects.

Bartsch nr 245. Shoemaler and Brown nr . Good impression trimmed out the borderline, of the last state, with Salamanca’s address. Tear of about 30 mm at foot; fold at center and at right. Edition of XVIIIth century. Watermark : Rex Camera Apostolica”

Bartsch nr 340. Good impression trimmed at the platemark. Waterstains and stains, mostly along the left side; tiny defects and rests of mounting on the corners on the back. Edition of XVIIth or beginning of XVIIIth century.
