De Grazia-Bohlin nr 21 (II/IV). M. Bury “The Print in Italy” nr 50. Very good impression trimmed out the platemark, of 2nd state (of 4), before V. van Aelst’s address. Some creases, especially horizontal down; rests of mounting paper along the left edge.
Bartsch nr 25 (U. da Carpi); Bartsch Ill nr 25; cf Takahatake “The chiarosccuro wwodcut in Renaissance Italy” p. 130. Good impression printed in two plates of tons and a plate of trait, of 2nd state (of 2), du tirage d’A. Andreani ca 1608-1609. Vertical median fold; some rare creases; contrecollée.
Bartsch ill nr 3 (I/II). Very good impression trimmed at the platemark, of first state (of 2), before Mariette’s address. Some small foxings and very sligt stains. Camillo Procaccini n’exécuta que six eaux-fortes. Les traces de polissage du cuivre demeurent très visibles on our impression.
New Hollstein (Stradanus) nr 139. Very good impression of the only state (?). Some very slight creases and small stains. Small margins. Plate to a set of seventeen”Éloges de la musique”.
Good impression avec le texte typographié, d’une édition incertaine, but very probably before 1500. Slight oxidation on the edges; some very light stains and two very short tear at feet. Plate illustrating l’ouvrage de Sebastien Brandt, “La Nef des fols de ce monde”, 1494 (for the first edition). Watermark : fragment de tête de boeuf.
