I.F.F. nr 377 (VIII/VIII). Very good impression on laid paper, of the last state, published in “L’Art” during 1878. Rests of mounting paper at top on the back and slight oxidation. The artist’s sister, Marie Bracquemond, draw a portrait of her half-sister.
Beraldi nr 116. Bouillon Ac 22 (IV/IV). Good impression on china paper applied on wove paper, of the last state, published in “L’Artiste” during 1856. Foxings at top and on the back at top, essentially out of subject, rare handling creases. Good margins. Pre-printing states for “L’Artiste” are almost impossible to find.
I.F.F. Nr. 439. A very fine print on antique laid paper, annotated in another hand: “Don de Mr. Bracquemond, 17 mars 1895.” Two very slight creases and a light dusting of dust. Bourcard and Goodfriend nr 20. Superb trial impression on japan paper, printed in violet, of 2nd state (of 3), before scratching platemark. Wide margins.
Boucard and Goodfriend nr 168 (IV/V) and 51. Very good impression on parchemin printed in two tons, black and sepia, of 4e state (of 5), before the (rayure du cuivre). Good margins. The right part of the platemark was engraved by Buhot ca 1875-1877, then the artist engraved the left side ten years later.
Steingräber n°47. Très belle épreuve d’essai sur vergé imprimée en brun clair. Traces de plis sur les bords des marges; quelques rousseurs aux bords de marges. Grandes marges.
Very good impression on wove paper. A few creases in the good margins; some small marginal stains. Rare. This subject was then reproduced for publication in “L’Estampe Moderne” during 1898.
