Bartsch nr 25 (U. da Carpi); Bartsch Ill nr 25; cf Takahatake “The chiarosccuro wwodcut in Renaissance Italy” p. 130. Good impression printed in two plates of tons and a plate of trait, of 2nd state (of 2), du tirage d’A. Andreani ca 1608-1609. Vertical median fold; some rare creases; contrecollée.
Hollstein nr 15. Good impression of the only state. Oxidation of the sheet; foxings; four wormhole or by pin; some vertical creases. Small margins. Watermark : stationer’s name and coat of arms (?). Edition probably slightly late. The painting by Rubens (and his workshop) is preserved à l’Académie de View.
De Grazia Bohlin nr 207 (II/II). Good impression of 2nd state (of 2), the date changed. Upper left corner turn off; some small creases. Thread margins on three sides; small margin at foot. Watermark : anchor (?) encircled and topped with a star. Plate forming frontispiece of “Opera omnia” by Aldrovandi in 1606.
