Some marginal tears; a small tear in the upper right corner; creases, some marked; board kick fracturing at top. Good margins. Very rare. Print executed by the artist during his stay at the Charenton asylum. Just one other impression of first state seems known, preserved at Metropolitan Museum (New York).
